The
Seasons:
There are 3 seasons in Phuket when it comes to tourism, there is Low Season, High Season, then Peak Season. Low season usually starts from the beginning of May and goes till the end of October.
High Season starts from around November till the 14th of Dec, then Peak Season begins from around the 15th of December till the 14th of January, then its back to High Season from around the 15th of January.
If you want to save lots of money and don't like the crowds, then Low Season is the perfect time to visit and the only down side is - it rains more in the Low season especially in September - October, but when it does rain, it's usually not for too long.
In High Season, expect to pay double for accommodation than what you would in the Low Season and you will see a lot more people around everywhere including the hotels and all the attractions.
When Peak Season starts, its winter time in Europe and holiday time, so you will see many people from this area of the world in Phuket. Most hotels are full at this time and some hotels and resorts charge double the High Season Rates.
There is more to do in Peak Season than any other time, as there are more tours operating and more activities to cater for the increase in tourist numbers, but like everything else at this time of the year, expect to pay more. More information on - Phuket Seasons.
