There are shops and markets here too but like most other things here, its on a small scale which can be a welcoming change from Patong.

Things to Do at Kamala:
The biggest attraction here by far is Phuket Fantasea, which is a live show featuring Animals and Thai culture with dancing elephants and other animals that you can see, such as tigers, and birds. There is also a massive buffet here that can seat thousands of people, known as the grand buffet, which has fantastic food. The Carnival Village at Phuket Fantasea is where you can purchase gifts and souvenirs with many locally made hand crafted goods on offer. Kamala Beach can get some really nice waves when the swell and winds are right and the best time to get a good wave here is in the Low Season when the swell is at it's biggest.
